Zeefti Pty Ltd ("Zeefti", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website zeefti.com (the "Site") and our mobile game Riddle Royale (the "App"). If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site or App.
Information We Collect
- Account & Contact Information you provide (e.g. name and email) when you sign up for updates or contact us.
- Gameplay & Usage Data such as levels played, in-app actions, and feature interactions (used to improve the App and balance gameplay).
- Purchase Information such as information about transactions you make within the app. We do not collect or store payment card details; purchases are processed securely by Apple.
- Device & Technical Data such as device model, operating system, app version, and IP address (used for security and diagnostics).
- Support Content you send us (e.g., emails, form submissions, bug reports).
We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation or sensitive categories of personal information.
How We Use Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and App.
- Provide customer support and respond to requests.
- Personalise gameplay balance, content, and features.
- Process purchases and deliver purchased content.
- Monitor performance, debug, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Send important notices (e.g. changes to terms, service updates). We only send marketing emails with your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
Legal Bases (if you are in the EEA/UK)
Where required, we process personal data on the following bases: (i) to perform a contract (provide the App), (ii) our legitimate interests (e.g., security, analytics, product improvement), (iii) your consent (e.g., marketing emails), and (iv) compliance with legal obligations.
When We Share Information
- Service Providers. We use third parties to host, store, deliver, and support the Site and App (e.g., hosting/CDN, error reporting, email delivery). They may access information only to perform services for us and must protect it.
- Legal, Safety, and Rights. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business Transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- Community Features. All users are automatically included in leaderboards. A display name is generated for each user; if you provided a first name through Apple sign-in, it may be used as part of this name. Display names and leaderboard scores are visible to other players.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Firebase to provide core features such as login, secure data storage, leaderboards, cloud functions, and protection against abuse. Leaderboards & User Content
All users are automatically included in leaderboards. A display name is generated for each user; if you provided a first name, it may be used as part of this name. Display names and leaderboard scores are visible to other players.
Users can also create and share their own content within the App. We review and may remove content that violates our guidelines.
Cookies & Similar Technologies
The Site may use cookies or similar technologies to operate essential features and to understand usage. You can control cookies via your browser settings.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Site and App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Gameplay and leaderboard data are retained until account deletion. Crash/diagnostic logs are retained for up to 90 days. When no longer needed, we take steps to delete or de-identify information.
Your Choices & Rights
- Marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in the message.
- Access, Delete, or Correct. You may request access to, deletion of, or correction of your personal information. In the App, you can request account deletion from the account/settings screen where available, or by contacting us.
- EEA/UK Residents. You may have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR (object, restrict, portability, withdraw consent). You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
- California Residents. You may have rights under California law (e.g., to know, delete, and opt-out of certain sharing). We do not sell or share personal information in the conventional sense.
Account Deletion
Users can delete their account at any time through the in-app account settings. When an account is deleted, personal information associated with it is permanently removed from our active systems. We may retain limited information if required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements, after which it will be deleted or de-identified.
Children's Privacy
In accordance with the App Store's age rating, the App is suitable for players aged 9 and older. Children under 13 may only access the game with a parent-managed account through their platform provider. We may receive limited account information, such as a name and email address, as provided by the platform. We do not knowingly collect any additional personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe your child has accessed the game or provided personal information without your consent, please contact us and we will delete the information promptly.
International Transfers
We may process information on servers located outside your state or country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect personal data during transfers.
Australia
As an Australian company, we comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy query, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Your continued use of the Site or App means you accept the updated Policy.
